During my internship with the Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association, I contributed to their online presence and helped amplify their mission to celebrate and promote Hispanic culture across Canada. My responsibilities included managing website content, creating vibrant visuals, and developing social media strategies to engage a broader audience.
In this role, I maintained the association’s website by adding relevant content and ensuring accurate event details, making it easier for visitors to stay informed. A major focus of my work was on content creation for social media. I created several event posters designed to attract customers, such as the eye-catching Breast Cancer Awareness poster, which was well-received within the community.
Working alongside a team of three, I produced and edited a promotional video, managing the process from scripting to copywriting and execution. This collaborative project highlighted upcoming events and was instrumental in increasing engagement on the association’s platforms. Additionally, I developed multiple posting templates and curated copy for Instagram, ensuring brand consistency and appealing visuals. Notable examples include posts that spotlighted Hispanic events, designed to resonate with followers and elevate community awareness.
